Abstract
As my term as Editor-in-Chief of Toxicologic Pathology nears an end, I want to thank the members of our Editorial Board, the reviewers, and manuscript authors who have helped to make the journal a success. In addition, I was lucky to have a very diligent and dedicated group of Associate Editors that helped me direct the journal and maintain the high peer review standard for the manuscripts published. I believe our journal has increased in visibility, prestige, and impact during the past three years, becoming truly international in our linkage with the British Society of Toxicologic Pathology.
The past three years would not have been as enjoyable or as successful without the dedication of Stephanie Dickinson and Beth Mahler. Beth provided needed assistance in the illustration area and has helped maintain the high quality of our illustrations and figures. Stephanie has performed multiple tasks for the journal, including being the contact person for authors, Associate Editors and Editorial Board members as well as helping with the transition to Sage Publishing and the adaptation of our web-based Scholar One submission and review program. The Societies and Toxicologic Pathology are extremely lucky to have Stephanie as the Managing Editor of the journal.
It is now my great pleasure to turn the keys of Toxicologic Pathology over to John Foster, the new Editor-in-Chief. John and I have worked together the last six months transitioning to his editorship. John brings a wealth of toxicology and pathology experience as well as international credentials to the position. He has published extensively in the fields of toxicology and pathology, and has been on the Editorial Board of a number of toxicology and pathology journals, including serving as an Editorial Board member of Toxicologic Pathology since 2002 and as an Associate Editor of Toxicologic Pathology during my term from 2004 to the present. His experience, dedication, enthusiasm, and leadership make the transition to a new editorship seamless. I hope that the members of the Society, the authors, and Editorial Board members provide the same support and assistance to John that they provided to me. I wish John the best and look forward to seeing his stamp on Toxicologic Pathology in the upcoming year.
