Brain Connectivity is an international neuroscience journal dedicated to the publication of innovative research, scientific reviews, and academic communications pertaining to all aspects of anatomical, functional, and causal connections between distinct units within the central nervous system.
To highlight the recent advances in brain connectivity and the pathology of Alzheimer's disease; Brain Connectivity is organizing a special issue on the influence of pathological substrates on structural and or functional connectivity in Alzheimer's trajectory (subjective cognitive impairment, mild cognitive impairment, and Alzheimer's disease.
We are specifically looking for original research investigating the role of amyloid, tau, neuroinflammation / microglial activation, astrocyte on structural and or functional connectivity, along with influence on glucose metabolism, genetic, and epigenetic factors. Review articles and Perspective pieces are encouraged as well.
