Abstract

Dear Editors,
To combat the problem of Ebola virus infection requires a good management system. Adalja and Henderson state that “efforts on activities anticipated to have the highest impact on slowing disease transmission” and noted that “scarce epidemiologic and infection control resources must be deployed optimally.” 1 In fact, the management of the present outbreak of Ebola is a global issue. To control the possible transmission of the virus from West Africa is a big challenge for the present public health system. Setting a good “countermeasure against viral hemorrhagic fever at the border” is an important issue. 2 Setting up “quarantine stations” for screening examination at airports is a basic requirement. However, in some situations the control of the disease might not be effective. Asymptomatic Ebola infection is the situation that should be considered and kept in mind by all practitioners. 3 This can present a huge problem in terms of screening when there is a large influx of travelers from West Africa. A good example of this is the concern during the Hajj period, a large religious ceremony in Saudi Arabia. 4
