Abstract
Most parents are basically reasonable sorts who need guidance and a list of reasonable options and expectations. Parents do not automatically know what their specific role is to be in working with numerous disciplines. Following a child's diagnosis, much is taken for granted, including the assumption that someone is organizing the variety of individuals, services, and agencies involved in the child's care. During the course of a complex multimodal treatment program, parents often feel left alone and wondering.
