Abstract

Genetics health intelligence company Human Longevity (HLI) said on January 9 that J. Craig Venter, Ph.D., had stepped down as company CEO, and named Cynthia Collins as his successor. Collins comes to HLI from GE Healthcare where she served as the CEO and general manager of the company’s cell therapy and purification and analysis businesses. Company co-founder Dr. Venter will continue to serve as chairman of the board.
“2017 will be a key year for HLI with the launch and expansion of many of our products including oncology, whole genome, HLI Knowledgebase, HLI Search, and the HLI Health Nucleus,” said Dr. Venter. “Cindy’s combination of innovative business leadership, coupled with commercialization and operations acumen in a variety of life science arenas, is the perfect skillset to bring our vision of high-quality, genomic-powered products to the global marketplace.”
