2bPrecise, a subsidiary of electronic health record (EHR) company Allscripts, announced in February the general availability of its EHR-agnostic, cloud-based precision medicine platform. The secure platform captures and stores genomic data, which it combines with research and clinical data, then pushes it to the point of care to provide clinical decision support.
“As the pace of genomic discovery continues to accelerate, the mountain of genetic data—separated in clinical, lab or other systems—continues to grow,” said Assaf Halevy, founder and CEO of 2bPrecise. “For patients to benefit from this expanding body of knowledge, we need to get the relevant insights into the hands of treating providers without disrupting their existing workflows. 2bPrecise is the last-mile solution that closes this information gap, empowering physicians to provide the most precise care.”
According to the company, which put the platform to test at early adopter organizations such as the NIH and Holston Medical Group, the technology provides a genomic repository, knowledge hub, and translational medicine features, all designed to fit within existing clinical workflows.
