Case Report CO 2 Laser Excision of Cavernous Hemangiomas of the Larynx

Cavernous hemangiomas of the upper aerodigestive tract are rare conditions that present a formidable challenge to the surgeon. We present two patients with large cavernous hemangiomas arising from the larynx that were removed endoscopically using the CO₂ laser. The techniques used in these cases to minimize blood loss and safeguard the airway while achieving total removal are illustrated and discussed.
