Abstract

During the last four-week period, we have maintained high standards, and a total of 17 articles were rejected for publication in DNA and Cell Biology. Authors of seven articles were requested to make revisions in their manuscripts.
The new Impact Factor—a metric that reflects citations of articles published in 2009 and 2010 during the calendar year 2011—was 2.072. Improving the Impact Factor is a key strategy for our new editorial team, and we are working very hard to raise the bar further and accept only the highest-quality manuscripts. Authors publishing in the Journal enjoy wide exposure in the library collections of leading institutions in 140 countries, including 800 of the top research institutions in China.
To accomplish that ambitious goal, we need your help. We are interested in your fine research findings. We want you to read and to include citations of DNA and Cell Biology publications in your bibliographies.
Thank you for helping us in this effort.
