Abstract
The articles presented in this issue represent an international collection of some of the finest and most innovative research performed by minimally invasive urologists during this past year. As always, to become a highlighted article represents a significant accomplishment. The moderators of each session, the Endourology Society Awards Committee, and the Highlights Committee select what they believe to be the most deserving presentations to submit complete manuscripts to Journal of Endourology. The manuscripts that are submitted then undergo the standard rigorous peer-review process prior to being accepted as World Congress of Endourology Highlights.
The culmination of the highlights process is the articles in this special issue of Journal of Endourology, which incorporate wonderful innovative new concepts and well performed clinical series on a number of minimally invasive urology topics. We congratulate all the authors on their fine work. Additionally, we would like to thank all the moderators and committees who diligently evaluated many excellent presentations to select the highlights as well as the reviewers whose efforts assure that the highest quality manuscripts are presented.
