Abstract
The manuscripts presented in this edition represent an international collection of some of the finest and most innovative research performed by minimally invasive urologists during this past year. As always, to become a highlight manuscript represents a significant accomplishment. The moderators of each session, the Endourology Society Awards Committee, and the Highlights Committee select what they believe to be most deserving presentations to submit complete manuscripts to the Journal of Endourology. The manuscripts that are submitted then undergo the standard rigorous peer review process before being accepted as World Congress of Endourology Highlights. This year in particular we had a record number of manuscripts to review.
The culmination of this highly selective process is this special edition of the Journal of Endourology that incorporates wonderful innovative new concepts and well-performed clinical series on a number of minimally invasive urology topics. We congratulate all the authors on their fine work. In addition, we would like to thank all the moderators and committees who diligently evaluated many excellent presentations to select the highlights as well as the reviewers whose efforts assure that the highest quality manuscripts are presented.
