Abstract
We are delighted to celebrate our phenomenal reviewers who will be recognized every month. The quality of the journal is entirely dependent on the authors for choosing our journal for their manuscripts and reviewers for ensuring that the submissions are improved. The spotlighted reviewers were selected based on the number, quality and turnaround time of manuscripts reviewed during the last two years. We are also grateful to our Editorial Board for sharing the burden of the reviews.
After initial training in urology in Rome, he completed his residency in Catanzaro. Since 2011, he is a Fellow of European Board of Urology (FEBU). He was consultant urologist in Turin since 2013, before returning to Rome in 2015, as consultant urologist of Oncologic Urology Unit, at IRCCS “Regina Elena” National Cancer Institute of Rome, Italy, which he leads as Director since 2019. Since 2020, he is also Director of the Robotic Training Center for European urologic surgeons, in the same institution. In 2015, he accomplished also his PhD in “Advanced technologies in surgery” at “Sapienza,” University of Rome, and in 2016, he achieved the European School of Urology (ESU)—Weil Cornel Masterclass in Urology, on behalf of EAU.
He was in the faculty of Italian Medical Oncologic Association (AIOM) for bladder cancer between 2012–2014, for upper urinary tract cancer between 2018 and 2021 and for kidney cancer in 2021. In 2019, he received the Hans Marberger award from European Association of Urology (EAU), for the best scientific paper on minimally invasive urology published in 2018.
In 2019–2020, he was in the faculty of Masterclass in Robotic urologic surgery at “Sapienza” University of Rome. In 2018, he was enabled for Full Professor in Urology from Italian University and Research Ministry.
He has over 250 publications, is consulting Editor of European Urology, and reviewer of several urological journals. He is also active member of the EAU and American Urological Association (AUA). He has been visiting professor, invited faculty and speaker at multiple institutions and international meetings. His area of expertise includes robotic surgery and other MIS approaches. He is specialized in kidney, bladder and prostate cancer and other conditions of the genitourinary tract.
