Abstract
We are delighted to introduce the fifth volume of the Atlas of Videourology. The Atlas has been phenomenally successful since the first volume was released in 2018. Fifty-six procedures have been described, covering all aspects of minimally invasive urologic surgery, including endoscopic, laparoscopic, robotic, percutaneous, and focal therapeutic surgeries and procedures. The fifth volume continues to expand the content in the Atlas to include 11 new procedures including Thulium laser nucleation of the prostate and the innovative new procedure, the MONARCH™ robot-assisted combined mini percutaneous nephrolithotomy and flexible ureteroscopic lithotripsy. Several single-port and multiport robotic procedures have also been described. As with the other volumes, each procedure has a detailed description of the surgical steps as well as variations in the procedure and troubleshooting tips. There is also a summary of past publications with patient outcomes utilizing each procedure. With the addition of procedures in this volume, the Atlas of Videourology will be a comprehensive resource for all urologists seeking practical information on all commonly performed minimally invasive urologic surgeries.
