Dr. Daniel Wollin

The spotlighted reviewers were selected based on the number, quality and turnaround time of manuscripts reviewed during the last two years. We are also grateful to our Editorial Board for sharing the burden of the reviews.

Dr. Wollin is an endourologist, assistant professor of surgery at Harvard Medical School, and medical director of the Urology Clinic at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts. He is also an affiliate genitourinary oncologic surgeon at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and research affiliate at Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He completed his residency training at New York University and completed a fellowship in endourology, metabolic stone disease, laparoscopic, and robotic surgery at Duke University. Given an interest in medical device development, he then completed a Master of Science in Integrated Design and Management at MIT.

He is a frequent reviewer for a number of journals, including the Journal of Urology, Journal of Endourology, and Urology, as well as the section editor of the AUA Core Curriculum on Medical Management of Urolithiasis. He is a cofounder of Aurie, a medical device company developing connected device ecosystems to improve the lives of individuals with urinary retention. His clinical interests include medical and surgical management of kidney stones as well as robotic and laparoscopic management of a wide variety of urologic issues, from prostate cancer to upper tract reconstruction. His research focuses on the interaction of surgeons and surgical devices, as well as the development of novel tools for the treatment of urologic conditions.
