Abstract
Background:
The presence of cutaneous appendage is an uncommon finding in the cervical uterus and less than ten cases have been reported.
Case Report:
We present a 48-year-old postmenopausal female with cervical squamous cell carcinoma and an incidental finding of cutaneous appendages and melanin pigments in the cervix uteri.
Conclusions:
There is no known association between epithelial adnexal structures in the cervix and cervical cancer, but this case raises the possibility of such an association. (J GYNECOL SURG 25:153)
