Dr. Rebecca Arundale is the Global Product Development Manager at NexSteppe. NexSteppe is developing sorghum hybrids as feedstocks tailored for biopower, biogas, biofuels, and other biobased industries. Rebecca's work bridges technical and business development activities by identifying market needs and developing strategies for new product introduction. Rebecca has full knowledge of product performance across research and commercial plantings and is using this to build an integrated and transparent pipeline of hybrid advancement.
Prior to joining NexSteppe, Rebecca was an agronomist at BP Biofuels focusing on feedstock technology development of energycane and napiergrass for cellulosic ethanol production. Becky holds a PhD in plant biology and a bachelor's degree in integrative biology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where her work centered on the agronomy of Miscanthus x giganteus and Panicum virgatum (switchgrass). Rebecca is dedicated to a future that utilizes crops to mitigate climate change.
