Abstract

Each time we say goodbye
I can feel your weight
A stone, in deep
Water
Where light is
Precious, making the
Difference between
Floating, and
Sinking, un-
Clear
Weathered and worn
Your days are
Simple
Now, powerless, yet not without
Purpose
You say you were once great
Capable of physical feats
And yet your final feat
I will carry forever
A memento of descending tranquility
Apogee long past
All that's left is allegory
And I'm still searching for
Secrets
For one last story, but
Here you leave me, in
Still life
A bottom I cannot
See
A cold, no one can
Feel
And yet there you
Lay, your
Weight
In my hand
Gone
