In this issue, we introduce a new feature for the Journal of Women's Health—the Clinical Update. Important research studies, reviews, and guidelines are published regularly in the Journal of Women's Health and in other publications, but it is increasingly difficult for busy providers to remain current with the changing literature. At the annual Congress on Women's Health, we have benefited from timely reviews of important medical topics. The Clinical Update is planned to provide brief and timely reviews and expert commentary on recently published high-impact journal articles that may change the way we practice. The Update will be published quarterly, coordinated by Lisa N. Kransdorf, MD, MPH, Division of Women's Health Internal Medicine, Mayo Clinic Arizona, with each edition focused on a different women's health topic, including menopause, sexual dysfunction, breast health, contraception, osteoporosis, and cardiovascular disease.
