Dear Editor:
I read the recent publication on laparoscopic treatment for small intestinal bleeding with a great interest.

Zang et al. concluded that “Laparoscopic treatment for small intestinal bleeding is feasible, safe, and minimally invasive.

” I accept that the results in this report might imply that conclusion. However, there are some points to be concerned. First, it is interesting to know the cost of this alternative comparing to the classical approach. Second, before concluding that this technique has “good therapeutic outcomes and improved diagnostic chance in small intestinal bleeding diseases,” there must be a complete assessment on the diagnostic property of this new approach. Third, the result in this study is similar to another report from the same setting in China by Hu et al.

Whether there is a cross usage of the subjects in both studies should also be addressed.
