Abstract

Antigen Used for Immunization
The recombinant porcine BST-2 protein was expressed in Escherichia coli BL21.
Method of Immunization
Purified rpBST-2 protein (50 mg/mouse) was emulsified with an equal amount of Freund's complete adjuvant and subcutaneously injected into BALB/c mice. This was followed by three additional injections at 2-week intervals for each mouse with the same dose of the antigen plus Freund's incomplete adjuvant.
Parental Cell Line Used for Fusion
Mouse SP2/0 myeloma cells.
Selection and Cloning Procedure
Indirect ELISA was used to determine the positive hybridoma cells and antibody titer.
Heavy and Light Chains of Immunoglobulin
Yes.
Specificity
Western blot and immunofluorescence assay were used to analyze the antigen specificity.
Specific Antigen Identified
This antibody only reacted with porcine BST-2 protein and not with human, monkey, or mouse BST-2 protein.
