Correction

I n the September 2010 issue of Thyroid, corrections are required for two articles.

On page 943, the editorial by Boelaert (1) incorrectly stated that remission rates of Graves' disease were significantly lower in those who developed hypothyroidism. The correct statement should have been, “Remission rates of Graves' disease at 6, 12, and 24 months following methimazole discontinuation were significantly higher in those who developed hypothyroidism when compared with controls.”

On page 1043, the letter by Iavarone et al. (2) erroneously stated that a treatment plan of prednisone and propanol was aborted. The correct statement should have been, “Treatment with 25 mg/day of prednisone and 40 mg/day of propanol was adopted and the original dosing of 800 mg/day of sorafenib could be maintained with a partial tumor response at month 4 of therapy.”

The authors sincerely regret these errors.
