n the November 2010 issue of Thyroid (vol. 20, no. 10; 1205–1208), corrections are required in Table 1 of the article “The Prevalence of Polycystic Thyroid Disease in Hypothyroid Patients with Negative Thyroid Antibodies,” by Sumihisa Kubota et al. The Table 1 published in the November 2010 issue of Thyroid should have been changed as the definition of overt hypothyroidism was changed from “patients having a serum TSH of >10 μU/mL” to “patients having a serum TSH of >10 μU/mL and a free thyroxine level of below 0.7 ng/dL,” reducing the total number of patients with overt hypothyroidism from 115 to 71. The correct Table 1 is presented herewith.
Values are means ± SD. Normal range: FT4 0.70–1.60 ng/dL, FT3 1.70–3.70 pg/mL, TSH 0.30–5.00 μU/mL.
ATD, antithyroid drug; FT3, free triiodothyronine; FT4, free thyroxine; TSH, thyrotropin; SD, standard deviation; RAIT, radioactive iodine therapy.
The authors sincerely regret the errors in the original Table 1.
