Correction re: Coxiella burnetii in Northern Fur Seal ( Callorhinus ursinus ) Placentas from St. Paul Island,Alaska

The article entitled, “Coxiella burnetii in Northern Fur Seal (Callorhinus ursinus) Placentas from St. Paul Island, Alaska,” published in Vector Borne Zoonotic Dis., 2012;12:3:192–195 (DOI: 10.1089/vbz.2011.0715) contained an error on page 194. The word “endotheliochorial” should have been used instead of “epitheliochorial” in the last line of the left column. The corrected sentence is reprinted below.

As with most carnivores, placentation is best described as circular, zonary, labyrinthine, non- or mildly-deciduate and endotheliochorial.
