Abstract
Small cell lung cancer (SCLC) is usually diagnosed at an advanced stage and has a poor prognosis. It most commonly metastasizes to the liver, bone, or adrenal gland. The main treatment of SCLC is systemic chemotherapy and if there is isolated organ metastasis, radiotherapy or ablation may be applied according to localization. In addition, there are studies reporting that surgical resection increases the prognosis when the treatments for metastasis are insufficient (especially in adrenal metastasis). In this article, we aim to present a patient who underwent laparoscopic adrenalectomy for isolated left adrenal metastasis of cured SCLC, after 10 months of disease-free follow-up.
