Summer School ‘98 at The International House of Japan (Tokyo) June 28, 1998–July 1, 1998
The International Society for Cerebral Blood Flow and Metabolism organizes regular summer schools in key areas of its research field. The schools are didactic and interactive with a mixture of lectures and workshops. The intention is to bring junior researchers together with more senior investigators in an informal, residential, teaching environment. The Summer School ‘98 Scientific Program has five sessions scheduled: Session 1—Cerebral Blood Flow and Metabolism; Session 2—Imaging and Brain Function; Session 3—Brain Ischemia and Gene Expression; Session 4—Gene Therapy for Stroke; Session 5—General Discussion and Future Directions. Applications are now being accepted. Applications should be 2 pages (maximum) and include a brief professional history (up to three publications may be listed) and a short statement of why participation in this program would benefit applicants in their research fields. Send your application via mail, FAX, or E-mail as soon as possible to: Koji Abe, MD, PhD, Associate Professor of the Department of Neurology, Tohoku University School of Medicine, Sendai 980-77 Japan, Phone: 81-22-717-7188; FAX, 81-22-717-7192; E-mail:
