A case study is presented of a refugee family and children presenting to the refugee clinic, with a positive result for lead toxicity. Clinical presentation and management of pediatric lead toxicity is discussed, and a literature review of refugee screening procedures for the state of California is examined, emphasizing the importance of continuity of care, case management, community resource utilization, and trauma-informed care.
