Book review History Education and the Construction of National Identities

The objective is to introduce a series of comments about the book History Education and the Construction of National Identities, recently edited by Mario Carretero, Mikel Asensio and María Rodríguez-Moneo. In times of increasing globalization, the relationship between history learning processes, at school and in informal settings, and the construction of national identities are topics of serious importance for interdisciplinary, transcultural and transnational research. The book suggests several interesting issues that reflect the intensive work carried out by prominent researchers.
