Abstract

Award to be Listed in APSA
The Fred Pine Award seeks to honor and express gratitude to Dr. Pine for his career-long mentorship–through half a century as a professor/teacher, head of clinical training programs, and clinical supervisor of a generation of psychoanalytically oriented clinicians and theorists. Upon a notable early background in developmental research, Dr. Pine became first and foremost a clinical theorist. A master of keen observation, he was able to embrace and articulate with uncanny clarity the insights and perspectives differing psychoanalytic frameworks offer to the field, and how human development informs clinical practice For those who are interested in exploring Dr. Pine’s writings, you will find a link to them at the bottom of this announcement.
