Greetings from the ASTA National Office! As you begin to plan for your summer, whether that is quiet time away from your classroom, organizing for next school year with order forms, permission slips, and bussing requests, reinvigorating your studio with a summer chamber music program, and/or playing in summer festivals or programs, I hope you keep ASTA in mind as a resource for all that you do! Here are some of our summer plans—join as you can!

Virtual String Teachers Summit. Join us online July 15 and 16 for our annual online summit, featuring keynotes, educational sessions, virtual reading sessions, and roundtable discussions. Can’t join us in July but still want to have access to the content? Register and you can access all recordings through December for your professional growth!

Town Halls and Webinars offered by ASTA’s Committees, String Industry Council Members, and collaborations with Alfred Publications. In the past 3 years, we have grown our national committee structure to include new committees, such as Conducting, Community Music, and Emeritus, and engaged more members in conversations on how ASTA can support their work as a string teaching professional. Finally, please consider sharing your knowledge with your fellow ASTA members by submitting a session proposal for the ASTA National Conference held in 2025 in Atlanta, Georgia March 19–22. Our conference is amazing because our members step forward to share and learn from each other. Please consider applying to share your expertise, whether you are a studio teacher, a higher education faculty member, K–12 orchestra teacher, or student!
