Abstract
Teachers in TMH classes throughout Illinois were surveyed in regard to the type of classroom structure being followed (i.e., self-contained, semi-departmentalized, departmentalized) and also the extent to which their need and the needs of their children were being met. Fifty-four percent of the teachers responded that they were teaching in a self contained classroom with the remaining number split between some type of departmentalized or team teaching structure. In general, results of the survey revealed that teachers in self contained classes were less satisfied with their programs than were teachers in other situations.
