Prayer
What joy in heaven when Jesus returned! What joy, when God was reunited with God! All together, united, as one God in three persons Father, Spirit, Son What joy in heaven as the world waits… With baited breath Jesus takes up his place at God’s right hand And the Spirit prepares to breathe her holy breath on the waiting world. What joy! What hope! What anticipation! Jesus ascends and the world waits. Holy God, fill us with that heavenly joy, touch us with that holy hope, enthuse us with that blessed anticipation, today and always. Amen

In a locked room Filled with frightened people God is moving. In a locked room Filled with frightened people God is at work. Into a locked room Where hope was gone God came… and fire filled them with courage and power. Fire touched their frozen minds and suddenly they were free! Fire released them as the Spirit breathed. God of fire and freedom, Fill us anew Inspire us again Touch our frozen minds and show us your power at work in our lives and in our world we pray. Amen

L: Holy God: Trinity, one in three, three in one
Prayer
Mysterious God, God of creation and salvation and hope. We come to you and we remember: In us you planted the seeds of love: potential to be like you. You loved us so much you sent your Son, to free us from the tyranny of sin. You love us so much you left your Holy Spirit, to guide our feet into the ways of hope. Mysterious God: we try to fathom you out, We seek to understand you more, to know you better. In our heads we know Trinity. Help us to truly know it in our hearts: That you are Father, Son and Holy Spirit, our Creator, our Saviour and our eternal Hope, Defender, Shepherd, Comforter, Full of mercy, wisdom and love, And that we are known and chosen and loved by you This day, and always. Amen
22nd June - Proper 7
Call to Worship
“There is no god like you, O Lord, all nations bow before you; they praise your mighty name; you do wonderful things in all the earth.” (Ps 86:8,9,10)
God of all creation You alone are holy, the Psalmist knew it And we know it too. We acknowledge your power in our lives and on the earth And we praise you, worship you, follow you. Accept our worship today, O Holy God.
Prayer
Creator God You gave us life And you give us hope. Show us we pray, the path to follow: When we are fearful – reassure our minds When we lose direction – guide our way When we turn from you – redirect our hearts When we seek comfort – relieve our troubles So that we may be constantly aware of your presence, and learn to lean on you and you alone. Amen
29th June - Proper 8
Call to Worship
We welcome one and all We welcome friend and stranger We welcome rich and poor We welcome saints and sinners We welcome young and old We welcome men and women. Welcome to those who seek the Lord Welcome to those who worship God. Welcome, and again, welcome. This is the day and the time and the place to worship God.
Prayer
Holy God, in your Son Jesus we see a way of life: A way that seeks justice and righteousness A way that turns to the outcast and stranger in love and friendship A way that brings hope to the hopeless And promises freedom to captive souls. God, we see how Jesus lived And we seek to be his true followers. We seek to be as welcoming and loving as Jesus was We seek to share his message of hope and love We seek to offer nourishment and help to those in need We seek to shine the light of Christ into a darkened world, Shining as we are able, and bringing hope where we can. Guide us as we seek to live and love as Jesus taught us. Send down your Holy Spirit into our hearts and minds, So that all we do, we do in his name and for his sake. Amen
