Abstract
THE Health Education Council has produced some of its most successful and highly visible health education material on dental health for young people and children, the most recent of which has been the launch of The Good Teeth Programme (for 3- to 5-year- olds) developed by the Cambridge Dental Health Study Unit. Eliz abeth Towner's study on adults — the subject of this report — forms the second stage of the council's co-ordinated dental health edu cation strategy, which has been developed to reach and influence all the prospective age groups by the early 1990s.
