A questionnaire was delivered to community psychiatric nurses (CPNs) (n=23) in order to determine whether they had received adequate training in relation to the 1995 Mental Health (Patients in the Community) Act. Data collected were analyzed. The findings suggest that there is a lack of knowledge in relation to the documentation. The research suggests that more formal training in relation to policy documents should be provided by employers.
