The article’s title has been edited to, “Validation study on self-reported height, weight and blood pressure: A partial republication of Kawada, T., Takeuchi, K., Suzuki, S. and Aoki, S. (1994). Associations between self-reported and measured height, weight and blood pressure. Japanese Journal of Public Health, 41 (11), 1099–1103.”
Kawada and Suzuki (2005) is a secondary article, based on the original publication of Kawada et al. (1994). Differences between these two publications include:
(a) changes in authorship to reflect primary involvement of Kawada and Suzuki in the 2005 republication; (b) no English translation of the abstract in the original Kawada et al. (1994) article; (c) different sets of figures and tables (with four figures and five tables in Kawada et al., [1994] but only one table and no figures in Kawada and Suzuki [2005]); and (d) updated references in Kawada and Suzuki (2005), such that five references in Kawada et al. (1994) were expanded to 17 references in Kawada and Suzuki (2005).
