Reversal indices were extracted from spatial reversal data obtained from 5 mammalian and 9 avian species currently being tested with successive discrimination methodology. While neither Problem I nor its first reversal errors significantly separated avian and mammalian species, the reversal index did, largest index being obtained for birds.
