Abstract
Although the idea of entrapping air in viscose fibers, is not new, as evidenced by a patent issued to J. E. Brand enberger in 1921, the development of a practical process for producing a usable material is new. The following article which is condensed from a paper delivered at the meeting of the American Association of Textile Tech nologists held in New York, December 9, describes some of the important uses to which Bubblfil is adapted and compares the qualities of the new product with those of kapok, a critical war material.
