Abstracts

Returns from the recent questionnaire issued by our pub lications and publicity committee indicated a definite reader preference for the inclusion in Textile Research of a tech nical abstract department.

Therefore, with this issue we are inaugurating an abstract service which we plan to expand as rapidly as possible into a broad coverage of current publications.

In this first series of abstracts we have not attempted the classified arrangement that will be necessary with further growth of the service. We are continuing the department of "research briefs," in which will be included some of the articles of particular interest to executives. Reference to these will be found at end of the abstract section.
