Abstract
The following abstract from an address presented by Dr. Taylor, Nov. 13, 1943, before the Autumn general meeting of the American Philosophical Society is of particular interest to the textile in dustry in view of its aroused participa tion in research. Dr. Taylor is a mem ber of the scientific advisory committee of the Textile Foundation, and of the Textile Research Institute, Inc. This address appears in full in the Society's "Proceedings," Vol. 87, No. 4.
