The Distribution of Transverse Pressure in a Twisted Yarn Allowing for the Fiber Migration and Variation of Fiber Packing Density

Abstract

A review of the theoretical basis of fiber migration is presented. In this review, the fiber packing density is assumed to be a function of the radial distance from the yarn axis and defined as the number of fibers per unit area perpendicular to fiber axis. Two methods of the calculation of transverse pressure, including both the fiber migration and variability of fiber packing density, is shown.
