I want to begin these Editor’s Notes with an apology. In my April Notes, I promised book reviews but none appeared in the April issue. The omission was inadvertent. You should find book reviews in this issue.
The lead article in this issue of Missiology: An International Review has been making a splash in some circles since it appeared in SAGE’s OnlineFirst in early June. I suspect many of you will want to read Peter T. Lee and James Sung-Hwan Park’s critical reevaluation of unreached people groups. I expect it will spark many lively discussions. This article is followed by a treatment by Steve Curtis of “Sociopolitical Obstacles to Christian Unity in Myanmar.” Thereafter, Tim Silberman offers readers a piece on “Imitation in Cross-cultural Leadership Development.” Jim Harries writes on “Resource Use as a Hindrance to Sustainable Development.” Ian D. Hicks weighs in on the need for being intentional about growing culture and worldview understanding. Finally you’ll read Edward Smither’s work leading us to implications for mission today based on the Christology of St. Francis of Assisi.
On behalf of Missiology’s editorial team, I trust you find this issue of our journal both stimulating and practical.
