In this paper, the event-triggered control issue for active seat suspension systems is investigated, which considers the problem of the signal collection and control input in discrete time. An active seat suspension system, a discrete-time event-triggered scheme, and an controller are designed at first. Some Lyapunov functions are chosen so that the stability criteria of the considered system are established and the event-triggered scheme and controller are obtained. The event-triggered scheme can reduce the workload of data transmission. Both simulation and experimental tests illustrate the effectiveness and advantages of the proposed control approach to improve driving comfort and reduce data transmission compared with the uncontrolled seat suspension system.
