Distributed dynamic event-triggered fuzzy control for frequency recovery and power distribution of islanded microgrid with stochastic-regular switching topology

This paper studies secondary frequency recovery and power distribution for islanded microgrid (MG) characterized by a switching topology. Topological changes are common phenomena during the operation of islanded MG. In this work, a more general dual-layer switching law is introduced for the distributed generation (DG)’s topological network. This rule embeds the regular switching of persistent dwell-time into the stochastic Markov chain, describing the evolution of transition probabilities with piecewise constants. Then, the secondary frequency recovery and power distribution for MG are simplified to the multi-agent consensus problem by using feedback linearization. To address the impact of environmental factors on the MG, which can complicate the maintenance of the desired linear control relationship, the interval type-2 (IT2) fuzzy logic is introduced as an approximator for the nonlinear dynamic model. And the secondary control problem is translated into the consensus study of nonlinear multi-agent systems. Constructing upon this theoretical groundwork, a dynamic event-driven distributed IT2 fuzzy controller is designed for realizing secondary frequency recovery while reducing the consumption of resources due to frequent information exchange between DGs. The feasibility of the proposed method is verified theoretically, and then the potential applicability of the proposed method is demonstrated by building an MG testing simulation.
