Acknowledgement of SPI Associate Editors: We would also like to extend appreciation to Associate Editors and Senior Associate Editors who – in addition to reviewing manuscripts – have served SPI by helping frame priorities for the journal, guest editing theme issues, consulting with the Editors regarding trends in the field, encouraging submissions, reviewing online Supplemental Materials, and developing podcasts/vodcasts for the SPI website.
SPI publication information for Volume 36, 2015: The 2014 Journal Citation Reports ® (Thomson Reuters, 2015) for SPI calculate an Impact Factor of 1.447, with a position of 26/55 in journals determined to be ‘Psychology, Educational.’ The average time from submission to first decision is 28 days, with an average reviewer turnaround time of 16 days. Authors whose work eventually is accepted for publication in SPI should anticipate a 42-day cycle from initial submission to final decision, requiring an average of 2.3 revisions. Accepted papers are routinely processed to publication within about 60 days to include the allocation of a DOI and publication online at SPI/Sage OnlineFirst (http://spi.sagepub.com/content/early/recent). Inclusion in the archival paper version of the journal is typically completed within two further issues of this six/times year periodical.
Nomination of Reviewers for SPI: Readers are encouraged to self-nominate or nominate additional reviewers for the journal. Reviewers for SPI receive free access to all SAGE journals for 60-days upon receipt of each completed review and a 25% book discount on all SAGE books ordered online. Furthermore, individuals who provide multiple high quality reviews may be considered for an Associate Editor role.
