Guidance and counselling as an essential part of education in developing countries is a progressive idea. Nigeria as a fast developing country is quite receptive to innovations in modem education. Lagos State has been pioneering a School Psychology Project for more than a decade.
In this paper some of the professional and administrative problems of introducing school psychological services at secondary school level have been brought into focus with particular reference to the problems often confronted in a developing country.
