Abstract
New applications for fan convectors require them to operate with lower inlet temperatures than in conventional wet systems and with a greater temperature drop, and consequently a higher effectiveness. A model is presented which allows performance to be predicted accurately for these conditions. It is suitable for incorporation into system performance models and provides a reliable basis for manufacturers to estimate the output of families of convectors based on a minimum of test work to determine two critical coil parameters.
