Abstract

As part of its commitment to supporting and promoting scholarship and critical reflective thinking SAGE is delighted that the recipients of the 2014 Best Paper Award are Monika Knassmuller and Sylvia Veit. The winners receive a certificate and an opportunity to have their paper published in Teaching Public Administration (TPA).
We are very pleased to give both the authors and the paper itself a wider audience so that they can share their thinking and analysis. The value of TPA as a place where different perspectives and traditions of public administration are drawn on to inform current thinking is well evidenced in the current issue.
We invite other colleagues who are part of the European networks of public administration practitioners, scholars and teachers to contribute to the discussions highlighted here and throughout the current issue.
We, also, invite readers and contributors to join in the shaping of TPA. We do welcome submissions as well as proposals for themed issues or papers. We want to take this opportunity to thank those of you who act as peer reviewers and who have engaged with the development of TPA over the past five years. Your support has been very important. Thank you.
