Abstract
Marked increases in teen-age disturbances dur ing the summer months point up the lack of worthwhile occupations for young people—of either the job or recreation variety—when school no longer occupies them. A project, "TOPS" or Teen-Age Opportunity Programs in Summer," was instituted to study this prob lem of inadequate and poor-quality summer programs for teen-agers. The project's findings, and the suggestions for school and community planners that resulted from the project, are reported here.
