Abstract
Most current curricula in management centre around scientific analysis and rationality. They take little notice of those aspects of managerial behaviour which lie beyond reason�dream, vision, instinct, emotion, etc.
Sampat Singh argues that this is a serious lacuna, and provides an outline of how humanities can make management education much more wholesome and purposeful.
Vikalpa has presented many articles on management education in the past. It hopes that this Perspectives piece will intensify the debate and experimentation about some of the neglected facets of managerial education.
