Special Issue: “Stay Safe and Stay at Home! Research on Language and Communication Related to Corona”

Complete Full Articles and Short Research Reports are being processing submissions as of now, with final deadline of February 1, 2021.

Guest Editors: Regina Jucks and Friederike Hendriks, University of Münster, Germany

The occurrence of COVID-19 has a strong impact on individuals’ as well as public life, with obvious life and death implications. This Special Issue brings together research on language and communication addressing the challenges, solutions, and strategies resulting from the Corona situation. The Call focuses on language and communication, both individual as well as interpersonal and intergroup, potentially through digital means, as well as science and health communication in the media in the digital age.

Potential authors should submit a letter of intent featuring a description of the design, methods of analysis, and hypotheses or research questions at their earliest convenience. A preregistration of the proposed study/studies with the Gust Editors is encouraged so that coherence within the Issue can be planned for.

After a peer-review process the Special Issue is planned to be published late 2021 or early 2022.
