Having studied space structures and the possibility of living within one, the author felt that it was important to actually design, fabricate and live in a space-frame house of his own design. The needs of his family provided the program and he provided the design, fabrication, and erection of a wooden space frame house in a remote part of Canada. A description of life in the structure is included together with a critique of this first experiment. A description of the need for the next experimental structure is given.
