Abstract

This issue of Topics in Early Childhood Special Education (TECSE 33:3) was intended to address the topic of “Families and Family Support.” Instead, the unplanned topic of this issue is “Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASDs).” The “Families” topic will appear in our next issue (TECSE 33:4). There are two reasons for the change. First, the review process for the manuscripts that were submitted in response to the “Families” topic has taken longer than usual, and so the manuscripts are not quite ready for publication. And, second, we found that five articles in the queue and ready for publication happened to address important concerns related to ASD. Therefore, we inserted the ASD topic and reserved “Families” for TECSE 33:4.
